Our commitment is to deliver powerful e-learning solutions that meet the needs of the business and learners. Whilst looking to drive e-learning forward, we also understand the benefits of more conventional forms of learning. This is reflected in the diversity of our solutions, ranging from traditional to cutting-edge.
xperience takes time to identify how we can build solutions that engage, immerse and reward learners. This process is always undertaken in partnership with our clients to ensure business needs are met alongside learning needs.
The use of scenarios is a convention often used in interactivity. When used as navigation it will immediately involve the learner and will also have a very high visual impact.
Minimising the amount of textual reading and incorporating activities gives the individual control over their learning, which in turn makes it an exciting challenge. All activities, scenarios and tasks created will be specific to the learners working environment.
Our work is centred on the learner. E-learning takes place on a screen and games are played on a screen - in our e-learning programs we keep the viewers interacting with items on the screen so they stay interested. We've applied gaming methodology to e-learning solutions.
We use popular gaming characteristics to ensure that our learning solutions are informative, engaging and, of course, fun. We believe it is important for the learner to gain a sense of achievement in completing a learning module. Therefore, we design solutions that involve problem-solving, achieving goals and have a high degree of interactivity.
Through the aid of audio/text prompt the learner would fully interact in a Try it mode by completing scenario tasks through the use of ‘hotspot’ instruction. We would recommend that this element is used extensively throughout the learning experience. This also leads to a faster ability of learning and longer retention of knowledge.
Knowledge checks (quizzes) create a number of very important benefits for the learner. It highlights if they have understood the guided instruction, if they are wrong we can provide an additional reinforcement of learning - rather than a simple 'Incorrect: try again', we can tell them why they are wrong then give them the opportunity of trying again. This will minimise any guess work.
We take into account existing visual and interactive conventions as well as new ideas to create an intuitive interface in our learning solutions. By challenging convention, we heighten the learning experience and produce challenging solutions that are engaging and rewarding.
When designing a learning solution, we always ensure content is structured in a manner that informs learners, embeds knowledge and tests understanding. We do this by working with subject matter experts who provide guidance on content to use, whilst providing the expertise in writing for the screen.
We are keen drivers of interoperable standards and specifications so we ensure that all content, tools and applications we develop are conformant to the ADL SCORM specification. We also develop our learning solutions to meet accessibility needs. Accessibility is built around our clients needs, we use W3C, Section 508 and IMS Accessibility specification as the foundation of compliance with the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA).
The successful implementation of most e-learning solutions is dependent on technical infrastructure and user acceptance.
We will often recommend a phased approach when implementing e-learning, as this will help to evaluate early effectiveness and identify problematic areas.
We always encourage learning solutions to be continually evaluated so they can evolve and become more effective.
We work in partnership with our clients to ensure this happens, providing logistical support and capturing feedback from user acceptance testing.
As your e-learning partner, we would be happy to offer our industry expertise in order to help support your staff and drive towards organisational goals.
As part of an ongoing programme of activity to enhance our skills, service and commitment, we have formed close alliances with a number of organisations, such as the British Learning Association (BLA) and the eLearning Network (ELN).
