Secure Mail Portal (SMP) is a web-based e-mail service that lets you send and receive email securely, without risk of interception.
Think of it like this: sending an email over the internet can be as insecure as sending a postcard through the public mailing system. Millions of people can gain access to the information contained in it as your email often passes through many places before it reaches it destination, and the leaking of such sensitive information can be devastating to your business. Without taking the relevant security measures, an email you send from work or from home can be monitored, logged, analyzed and stored by countless individuals and organizations.
For this reason, we have developed our SMP, which ensures that your email is not transferred over the internet, to the potential exposure of others, but is rather sent via our secure software for only the chosen recipient(s) to read.
The advantages of the SMP
It can be used by a wide range of organisations, including:
Our Secure Email Portal works using the following method:
Step 1: Staff Sends a Secure Email to a Client Using Their Normal Email System (eg Outlook)
When one of your staff members want to send an email securely to a client they still use their normal email software such as Microsoft Outlook. They simply choose to send the email securely, as in the screen example below.

Step 2: The Client Gets a Notification Sent to Their Email Account
The client will get a notification sent to their email account, in the example above this is a hotmail account. The notification will state that emails are ready to pick up in their secure email account.
Step 3: Client Logs in to the Secure Email Portal via Their Web Browser to Pick up the Mail
Having received notification that an email is waiting to be picked up, the client simply goes the SMP web site in their web browser and logs in.
Step 4: Client Reads the Email and Responds (Securely) if Necessary
Having logged in, the user can read the mail and respond to it. Any responses will be sent securely.
